But where is there any mention of power demand increases? This is a serious issue and if they think adding 10kw chargers for 10k USD is expensive just wait and see how much they will pay when they start using increasing total demand by 20 kW. If they want scalable solutions in condos check out Unico Power. I have a system about to go live and a video on the whole experience. It is definitely a very frustrating experience getting a condo board on your side, but choosing the right solution is paramount!

The articles does show, though, that a stick is needed at this point.

Yes, scaling the systems wasn't put forth in the article. And, to me, I'd like to see some kind of Level 1 charging agreement in the mix. Xcel in Colorado is moving forward with a turnkey service to condo board owners & associations: https://energycentral.com/c/pip/xcel-energy-debuts-its-transformational-ev-charging-station-solution-multi-unit

I’m literally waiting for power to be turned on today and a final blurb for my video about plugging in the Tesla at home in my condo. A system that allows for scalability and reduces power consumption when power demand is at the peak. I’ll be sure to share it with you very soon! This was no small feat, and I personally funded the 11k infrastructure that will likely take years to get it returned. New EVSE (32 amp/208 volt) installations will be charged at a minimum cost and partially return to me for infrastructure. But it was the only way to get this done in a large building with a board that would never have done anything about getting an EVSE solution for the building without an EV owner pushing them towards it.
